sister Julie has been making her own soap for years, and I always made fun of her
and told her she was weird.
Well, she came to live with me for a few months
while waiting for her new condo, and she made some soap while
she was here. I am always up for a new
craft project, so I asked her to
teach me the soap-making process. I
found out that it's very similar to
baking, which I love, so I was hooked!
few months later, I found myself thrust
into the reality of no job after 30 years at the same place. I was terrified, but I
have always wanted to own my own business, so we sat down at my kitchen
table, and with the help of my granddaughters came up with the idea for
Sweet Sisters Soap.
I started using it, I had no idea what a difference
the right soap makes for your skin. I had to take
back all the weird jokes about my sister
at that point. She was right all
along! I love helping people, and I love the
fact that handmade soap is better for the environment, as well as better for us,
so it's a win-win.
