The Sweet Sisters Story
Sweet Sisters Soap and Gifts came about as accident, as many businesses do. It was the product of someone seeing something unique and wondering if there could be more to the story.
When Julie needed a place to stay while her new home was being finished, she unloaded her suitcases at her sister Lisa's house. And she unloaded one more thing: a lined shoebox full of curing soap, which she placed out of the way atop the fridge. There was no color to the soap. No artificial scent. Just pure, unadulterated ingredients.
Now, Lisa at first thought Julie was a bit odd for making her own soap. Or maybe Julie was trying to save a few bucks. So when Julie asked Lisa if she could make a fresh batch during her stay, Lisa said yes—and asked to watch.
As she crafted the ingredients together, Julie explained that the complex chemicals and fragrances that are manufactured into commercial soap cause her skin to break out and give her a headache. Lisa was intrigued, and Julie went on to describe the particular list of natural components of the soap she made and the benefits to human skin. Lisa became a convert and instantly knew that if Julie and she could benefit from a better, more natural and healthful soap, so could others. Sweet Sisters Soap was born.
